Over a Decade Building High-Quality WordPress Websites

I’ve spent over a decade working with WordPress, building websites for businesses and organisations across a wide range of industries. Much of that time was spent working within creative agencies, where I worked closely with designers, marketers, and project managers to turn ideas and design concepts into fully functioning websites.

Working in agency environments gave me exposure to many different types of projects. Some were straightforward brochure websites, while others were far more complex builds that required careful planning, custom functionality, and a strong focus on performance. Across all of them, the goal was always the same: deliver a website that works well for the business behind it.

During this time I contributed to projects for organisations in sectors including engineering, technology, healthcare, property, and professional services. Each project brought its own challenges, whether that meant integrating third-party systems, building flexible content structures, or ensuring websites were easy for teams to manage once they were live.

Over the years this experience shaped how I approach website development today. I place a strong emphasis on building websites that are well structured, easy to maintain, and designed to evolve as businesses grow. Rather than relying on heavy themes or large numbers of plugins, my focus is on creating clean, reliable WordPress builds that give clients control over their content without unnecessary complexity.
